Job summary

Rain is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a fully remote role in the EMEA region. You will manage backend platforms, including API integrations with third-party vendors and partners, and help build scalable micro-services architectures for Rain’s AI Financial Health Platform.

You will own design and implementation of highly available RESTful APIs, work across cross-functional teams, and contribute to technical documentation and system observability to maximize performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Own delivery of projects from concept to completion.
• Experience coordinating across teams to meet engineering goals.
• Strong collaboration and clear communication in a distributed team.
• Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems and backend services.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into robust technical solutions and lead engineering efforts to meet ambitious targets.
• Design and implement reliable systems in a distributed micro-services architecture.
• Build and maintain integrations with 3rd-party vendors and partners.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Create reusable code and libraries to support scalability of future projects.
• Enforce observability using logging, metrics, and alerting systems.
