Job summary

JOBGETHER SRL is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build backend and AI‑enabled systems powering an innovative platform in electric mobility. You will design, develop, and operate reliable web services using Node.js, TypeScript, and Python, while collaborating with AI engineers to productionize AI tools.

You will own architectural decisions, implement scalable microservices, and mentor peers in a fast‑moving, remote‑first environment based in the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience designing, building, and operating production‑grade web services.
• Strong CS fundamentals and knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
• Extensive experience with distributed systems and scalable architectures.
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript; Express or NestJS experience.
• Proven design and maintenance of production RESTful APIs and API design best practices.
• Experience with microservices, event‑driven architectures, and CQRS.
• Hands‑on with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern delivery practices.
• SQL expertise with PostgreSQL/MySQL; performance tuning and migrations.
• English proficiency; strong communication and documentation skills.
• AWS deployment experience (Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, SQS, CloudWatch).
• Python backend experience is highly desirable.
• Experience owning end‑to‑end technical projects and knowledge sharing.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and operate scalable web services and APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, Python.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to operationalize AI tools within production services.
• Make high‑level architectural decisions balancing scalability and reliability.
• Build production‑grade RESTful APIs with authentication, versioning, and rate limiting.
• Develop distributed systems using microservices, event‑driven patterns, and CQRS.
• Troubleshoot production issues and maintain system stability and quality.
• Establish and enforce coding standards for clean, maintainable code.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external partners to align with business goals.
• Own the technical backlog with clear priorities and transparent communication.
• Continuously evaluate technologies to improve speed, reliability, and outcomes.
• Contribute to process improvements and documentation; share knowledge.
• Mentor engineers and foster an open, feedback‑driven culture.
