Job summary

Rain, the world's first AI Financial Health Platform, is seeking a Tech Lead to guide our engineering team in building scalable microservices, REST APIs, and data pipelines. This remote role demands hands-on system design and strong leadership.

You’ll own end-to-end delivery, architect distributed systems, and mentor engineers across disciplines, with deep experience in Go or Python, PostgreSQL, Kafka, AWS, Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in a leadership role, mentoring and guiding teams.
• Strong systems design and ownership mindset with distributed systems experience.
• Experience delivering scalable, resilient services and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into robust technical solutions and lead engineering efforts.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team and manage tech refinements and productivity.
• Design and implement reliable microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Build and maintain integrations with 3rd-party vendors and partners.
• Enforce observability with logging, metrics, and alerting; ensure scalability.
• Create and maintain documentation including architecture, APIs, and configurations.
• Monitor Rain systems for performance improvements and cross-team coordination.
