Secfi in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build the systems behind pivotal private wealth decisions.

You'll work in a small, high-ownership team (backend, frontend, design, product) reporting to the Head of Product & Technology, with a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office). The role emphasizes domain-driven challenges like probabilistic modelling and tax logic across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Strong Python with production services experience.
• Experience with FastAPI, Django or Flask.
• Real product experience building customer-facing systems.
• SQL and relational database modeling.
• REST API design and implementation.
• Public cloud experience (AWS or equivalent).
• Tech-agnostic, problem-driven approach.
• Proactive domain understanding and ownership.
• STEM degree or related field.
