Job summary

DataSnipper in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the Financial Statement Suite (FSS) backend and AI-powered services. You will build production-grade APIs in Python and C#, contribute to the React frontend, and shape system architecture for scale.

You’ll mentor teammates, collaborate with product and design, and apply AI responsibly to accelerate audit workflows while maintaining high quality and traceability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building applications with a modern backend stack.
• Proficiency with object oriented languages; Python experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript and React.
• Strong experience deploying and maintaining APIs on Azure or similar cloud platforms.
• Solid software architecture fundamentals and system design.
• Experience with relational and document databases; testing is second nature.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code).
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production APIs and services in Python and C# for financial statement workflows.
• Develop AI-powered agents and workflows using LLMs and document understanding pipelines.
• Contribute to the React front end as auditors review results.
• Maintain trustworthiness with deterministic checks and secure practices.
• Integrate with Azure AI services and implement OWASP-aligned security controls.
• Mentor engineers and participate in hiring and onboarding.
