Job summary

Adyen is seeking a technical leader to shape the architecture, design, and execution of critical systems powering its global Financial Products. You will collaborate with engineering, product partners, and cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges and ensure scalable solutions.

You will guide the technical vision, mentor engineers, and drive innovations across the organization, based in Amsterdam in an office-first environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in the financial industry, preferably banking/fintech.
• 15+ years of hands-on development in a modern engineering environment.
• Technical leadership experience including mentoring engineers and engineering strategy.
• Hands-on design and build of large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong Java background with platform mindset for multiple products.
• Proactive relationship-builder with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Scale and expand the money movement foundation across Adyen products.
• Provide architectural and design leadership for the Financial Products foundation.
• Optimize global banking connections and banking license zones.
• Design and build new banking rails as products expand.
• Mentor engineers to uphold high standards of technical excellence.
• Drive a culture of continuous innovation and challenge the status quo.
