Job summary

Vinted is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer II to join the Engineering Experience domain of the Platform unit. You’ll design and implement scalable backend systems, and work with AI-assisted tooling to boost engineering productivity across teams.

You’ll ship tools and services using Go, Ruby and Kubernetes, own end-to-end delivery, and mentor others while improving development environments and CI/CD pipelines at scale.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience designing, building, and operating backend systems or developer tools at scale.
• Proven ability to design and ship tools or services that other engineers depend on.
• Strong coding practices with clean, maintainable, testable code.

Responsibilities

• Explore, adopt and enable AI-assisted approaches for delivery and quality across the lifecycle.
• Design, build and own tools and frameworks using Go, Ruby and Kubernetes.
• Ensure output is used by hundreds of engineers across Vinted.
• Improve codebase with AI-friendly context, conventions and guardrails.
• Build tooling and processes for PR reviews, AI-assisted merging, and scalable pipelines.
• Enhance environments and pipelines so validation is fast and repeatable.
• Own solutions end-to-end from idea to wide adoption.
