Lefebvre Sdu is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to shape the GenIA-L intelligent core. You will design agent architecture, translate legal processes into scalable tech, and ensure reliable knowledge pipelines with rigorous evaluation.

The role emphasizes ownership, collaboration with lawyers and editors, and delivering robust, measurable improvements in AI quality and reliability. Office presence two days weekly in The Hague, with flexible remote work.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software or ML engineering (5+ years).
• In-depth knowledge of Python and ML libraries.
• LLM applications built and run in production.
• Experience with agent frameworks: LangGraph, LangChain, MCP.
• Experience with MLflow and LiteLLM is a plus.
• Strong backend experience: REST APIs, Postgres databases.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of legal/knowledge domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and shape the agent architecture for GenIA-L and specify how agents collaborate.
• Decompose legal processes into concrete technical solutions and connect components.
• Ensure knowledge packages and pipelines scale and stay up to date with governance.
• Measure quality using evaluation sets, observability, and metrics for reliability and source attribution.
• Identify and mitigate technical and process risks; help prioritize team work.
• Experiment with new developments, test ideas, and propose product improvements.
• Coach medior engineers and collaborate with editors and subject-matter experts.
