Job summary

Lefebvre Sdu is building GenIA-L, a Dutch legal AI platform used by 75,000 professionals across Europe. We seek a Senior Software Engineer to own backend services, authentication, and user management, with frontend involvement and cloud-native deployment. You’ll influence architecture and work with a cross-functional team in The Hague.

The role emphasizes ownership, stabilization, and end-to-end delivery, with two days in the office and flexible remote work to push the project forward.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with TypeScript and Node.js in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization systems (OAuth 2.0 / OIDC).
• Ability to manage complex integrations around permissions and roles.
• Ownership mindset with stakeholder management and proactive improvement.
• Frontend familiarity to support occasional frontend work.

Responsibilities

• Own backend Node.js services for authentication, authorization and user management.
• Develop components like PDF export and chat delivery via Redis.
• Drive continuous improvement, stabilization, and simplification of systems.
• Contribute to frontend efforts when needed to support product goals.
