Job summary

Lefebvre Sdu is expanding its GenIA-L platform and seeks a Senior AI Engineer to shape the intelligent core powering legal AI. You will own the agent architecture, translate legal processes into scalable tech solutions, and drive production-grade LLM applications with strong emphasis on reliability and source attribution.

You will mentor medior engineers, partner with editors and legal experts, and help steer the platform toward faster, more accurate answers while maintaining rigorous

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software or ML engineering, 5+ years.
• Strong experience in agentic AI.
• In-depth knowledge of Python and ML libraries.
• Built LLM applications and production experience.
• Experience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph and LangChain, tool calling, MCP or similar orchestration.
• Quality of LLM systems measurable with evaluation sets and observability.
• Strong backend experience including REST APIs and Postgres.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience in the legal, tax or knowledge-intensive domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct the agent architecture of GenIA-L: determine needed agents and how they interact.
• Break down legal processes into technical solutions and connect components.
• Ensure knowledge packages and pipelines scale and stay up to date.
• Develop metrics, evaluation sets, and observability to prove improvements.
• Help prioritise the team’s work and flag risks early.
• Explore new developments and turn ideas into proposals that improve the product.
• Coach medior engineers and collaborate with editors and subject-matter experts.
