Job summary
Telespazio Belgium has over 45 years in Space Operations Service & Engineering, with on-site ESTEC activity in the Netherlands. A highly skilled Satellite Telecommunication System Engineer is sought to support ESA programs as a contractor for ESTEC, relocation to NL required, and security clearance eligibility is noted.
The candidate should hold a Master’s degree or PhD in Telecommunication/Electrical engineering, with strong background in satellite communications, SATCOM, and system
Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Telecommunication or Electrical engineering.
- Background in satellite communication systems, especially maritime/aeronautical services.
- Experience with satellite system and network simulations.
- Knowledge of the 3GPP 5G protocol.
- At least 2 years in system-level analysis of satellite telecom networks and SATCOM standards.
Responsibilities
- Support ESA in satellite telecommunication system analysis and simulation.
- Assist in invitation to tenders related to ESA R&D.
- Support management of industrial R&D activities in system design, analysis and simulations.
- Support internal technical analyses on future SATCOM systems.
- Prepare R&D technology roadmaps for satellite telecom networks, architectures and systems.
- Support ESA-wide projects in telecom systems and technologies.
