A leading aerospace services provider is seeking a highly skilled Telecommunication Engineer to work at ESTEC, Netherlands. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree or PhD in Telecommunication or Electrical engineering and experience in satellite telecommunication systems. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, 30 days of annual leave, extensive health insurance, and a relocation package.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in telecommunications.
• Candidates must be eligible for a security personal clearance from an EU Member State national security administration.
• 2+ years experience in telecommunications with system-level analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support on Telecommunication-related topics with a focus on system/physical layers.
• Assist in preparation of invitations to tenders related to ESA R&D.
• Support the management of R&D activities related to satellite modem analysis and design.
• Coordinate telecom networking R&D activities of stagiaires and YGTs.
• Prepare R&D technology roadmaps in satellite telecom networks.

Overview

On behalf of the European Space Agency, we are looking for a highly skilled Telecommunication Engineer to work in ESTEC, in the Netherlands.

Telespazio Belgium can count on almost 40 years of experience in the field of Space Operations Service & Engineering activities. On behalf of the European Space Agency, we are looking for a highly skilled Telecommunication Engineer to work in ESTEC, in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Support on Telecommunication-related topics with particular focus on system/physical layers
• Assistance in preparation of invitation to tenders related to ESA R&D
• Support the management of industrial R&D activities in the areas of: i) satellite modem physical and link layer analysis, design, prototyping and testing; ii) SATCOM Systems and network analysis and simulations
• Support internal hands-on technical analysis on subjects related to future SATCOM systems
• Support the preparation of the section R&D technology roadmaps in the area of satellite telecom network protocols, architectures and systems
• Coordinate telecom networking R&D activities of stagiares and YGTs within the section

Qualifications

• Master\'s degree / PhD (preferable) in Telecommunication or Electrical engineering
• Good knowledge of satellite telecommunication systems, 5G technologies, and physical layer
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in the field of telecommunications
• System level analysis of satellite telecommunication networks
• End-to-end Physical/MAC layer analysis and simulations
• Good knowledge of SATCOM related standards
• Knowledge of MATLAB and other programming languages such as Julia, Python, C++
• Candidates must be eligible for a security personal clearance from an EU Member State national security administration

Where
