Job summary
Telespazio Belgium seeks a highly skilled Space Solar Array & Generator Engineer to work at ESTEC in the Netherlands for ESA-related projects. You will provide expert technical support on solar cell and generator technologies, coordinating across project phases including design, development, testing and in-orbit performance evaluation.
The role involves feasibility studies, procurement evaluation, and active involvement in R&D activities to advance photovoltaic generator concepts.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in physics, or electrical/mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- Experience in solar cells and solar generators for space applications.
- Experience in design, development and verification of space hardware.
- Knowledge of Space Engineering Standards and test plans.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support to ESA projects and programmes across solar array domains.
- Participate in feasibility studies, project reviews and evaluation of procurement proposals.
- Support R&D programmes for solar cell and solar generator technologies.
- Coordinate activity reviews and reporting with ESA personnel.
