Job summary

Michael Page International Netherlands is recruiting a Sales Support Officer for its Barendrecht office. You will work with Inside and Outside Sales, process orders in JD Edwards ERP, prepare quotations, and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers worldwide.

The role offers a full-time, 40-hour week (Mon–Fri, 08:30–17:00) with 25 vacation days, 8% holiday allowance, travel reimbursement, and a company pension. Recent graduates or experienced candidates are equally welcomed.

Qualifications

• Completed MBO Level 4 or Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards) is preferred.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Inside Sales and Outside Sales teams with administrative activities.
• Processing, monitoring, and maintaining customer orders within the ERP system.
• Handling incoming phone calls and responding to customer inquiries.
• Preparing and managing technical documentation packages for customer orders.
• Preparing and issuing quotations for standard requests within the maritime and offshore sectors.
• Maintaining relationships with existing and prospective customers, as well as internal stakeholders.
• Purchasing products from suppliers when items are not available from stock.
• Monitoring delivery schedules and ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
• Contributing to excellent customer satisfaction through a proactive and service-oriented approach.

The Successful Applicant

As a sales support officer, you recognize yourself in the following profile:

• Completed MBO Level 4 or Bachelor's degree.
• Candidates with several years of experience are welcome, but recent Bachelor's graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience working with ERP systems (the company uses JD Edwards).
• Fluency in English.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Customer-focused, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset.

What's on Offer

You will receive a direct contract with our client, including the following employment conditions:

• Full-time working week from Monday to Friday (40 hours, with 32 hours negotiable).
• Salary ranging from €2.700 to €3.500 gross per month based on a 40-hour workweek, depending on experience.
• 25 vacation days.
• 8% holiday allowance.
• Travel reimbursement (€0.23 per km or public transport reimbursement) up to 30 km.
• Working hours between 08:30 and 17:00.
