Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Nijmegen seeks a hands-on engineer to own and operate the Package Innovation labs, ensuring equipment is maintained, calibrated, and ready for RF measurements beyond 100 GHz.

You will coordinate vendor contracts, manage inventory, assist audits, and mentor other engineers, collaborating with international teams and communicating clearly in English. The role involves working with probe stations, resonators and VNA setups to support advanced radar, IoT and mobile projects.

Qualifications

• BSc in Electronic Engineering or relevant experience.
• Affinity with tools and hardware in electronics lab environment.
• Skill and affinity in software development, data processing, and computer engineering.
• Team worker, willing to work in international and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and in writing, in English

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain labs and equipment at Package Innovation in Nijmegen.
• Coordinate maintenance contracts and calibrations with vendors and FLUKE for calibrations.
• Manage lab inventory and purchases; align specifications and request quotations.
• Help and train other engineers in the lab and provide guidance.
• Keep stock/supply of general components and prepare for audits.
• Perform RF-related measurements using probe stations, resonators and VNA setups targeting frequencies > 100 GHz.
