Job summary

Monograph is seeking a Tech Lead to guide a growing engineering team. You will own the technical direction, drive the roadmap with Product and Design, and shape the culture as we scale.

You will mentor engineers, balance individual contributions with team leadership, and own high-impact systems and technical choices. We work flexibly from anywhere, with the tools and setup you need to do your best work. Bonus: experience in scale-ups is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing teams of 5+ engineers.
• Hands-on experience as a senior software engineer.
• Skilled at balancing IC contributions with guiding and unblocking a team.
• Track record of owning high-impact systems and technical choices.
• Bonus: you've been part of a scale-up and know what it takes to grow with a company.

Responsibilities

• Guide a team of engineers across Product and technical initiatives.
• Own the technical roadmap in partnership with Product and Design.
• Oversee critical engineering processes - on-call, incident management, and escalations.
• Debug complex issues, working hands-on with your team to find the root cause.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to their growth through regular feedback and guidance.
• Help build the foundations of a strong, healthy engineering culture.
