Job summary

SearchApi is seeking a senior Ruby on Rails engineer to serve as the technical backbone of the product, owning the toughest PRs and raising the bar across the codebase. This is a hands‑on role, not management, with a focus on shipping production code across the entire product.

You will ship features end‑to‑end, work directly with leadership, and help shape the technical direction while operating in a remote‑only, results‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Many years of Ruby on Rails experience, with a track record shipping production Rails apps.
• Stripe billing, subscriptions, and webhooks experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Own the hardest PRs, complex features, and performance‑critical code.
• Review other engineers' PRs and mentor through code review.
• Build enterprise features (e.g., SAML, SCIM, audit logs, permissions).
• Work on billing and payments including Stripe integrations.
