Job summary

FeedbackFruits is looking for a senior full-stack engineer to help us build the next version of our platform in Amsterdam. You’ll own end-to-end delivery from backend logic to server-rendered UI, with Rails + Ember.js moving toward Rails + Hotwire.

You’ll work closely with designers and product managers, focus on performance and reliability, and contribute to CI/CD improvements, testing, and integrations with Learning Management Systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Ruby on Rails is your home stack; you’ve shipped production code in Rails.
• You write tests with RSpec and Capybara.
• You are user-oriented: think about the person using it.
• You've worked in a legacy codebase and know how to improve it.
• You understand CI/CD and deployment practices.
• You communicate clearly and collaborate well.
• Familiarity with Ember.js or migration to Hotwire; Azure or observability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own full-stack delivery on the roadmap, from backend logic and database design to the server-rendered UI it connects to.
• Lead the migration of Ember features to Rails + Hotwire, redesigning with PMs/designers and shipping an improved product.
• Handle support escalations and legacy bug-fixes as part of the mix, keeping the codebase healthy.
• Contribute to CI/CD practices and deployment pipeline for more frequent, reliable releases.
• Keep performance in mind across the stack.
• Build and maintain integrations with Learning Management Systems using LTI and partner APIs.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
