Job summary

Octagon Professionals International is seeking a Recruitment Consultant to source and recruit technical professionals for EU institutions, government bodies, and international clients. You will manage the full recruitment process from sourcing through candidate submission to support high-quality placements and tender submissions.

The role requires strong English, 3+ years of recruitment experience, and proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening interviews to assess technical skills, motivation, and cultural fit.
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with candidates and clients
• Prepare and submit high-quality candidate profiles for projects and tender submissions with EU institutions and agencies
• Conduct market research on technical skill availability, salary benchmarks, and recruitment trends
• Support recruitment activities across technical disciplines and international projects
• Help identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and candidate experience

Recruitment Consultant opportunity – Octagon Professionals

Overview:

Octagon Professionals International is an international HR and workforce solutions company based in The Hague. We support organisations across Europe with Recruitment, Employer of Record (EOR), Payrolling and HR services, helping clients build and manage international workforces.

We are looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will source and recruit technical professionals for projects with EU institutions, government organisations, and international clients. You will manage the full recruitment process, from sourcing through to candidate submission – where your work will support high-quality placements and tender submissions across a plethora of interesting organisations!

Role Responsibilities:

• Source technical professionals using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, Boolean search, and internal databases
• Conduct screening interviews to assess technical skills, motivation, and cultural fit
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with candidates and clients
• Prepare and submit high-quality candidate profiles for projects and tender submissions with EU institutions and agencies
• Conduct market research on technical skill availability, salary benchmarks, and recruitment trends
• Support recruitment activities across technical disciplines and international projects

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of recruitment experience within a multinational, technical, engineering, or public-sector environment
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Experience sourcing technical professionals using LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search techniques
• Ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while managing priorities effectively

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Experience recruiting within engineering, aerospace, defence, IT, or other technical sectors
• Experience working with ATS and CRM systems such as Bullhorn, Salesforce, Broadbean, or similar platforms
• Additional European language(s) are a plus
• Experience working within consultancy, staffing, or project-based organisations
