Job summary

Qblox in Delft, Netherlands is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer to join our FPGA/RTL team. You will design and verify VHDL solutions for a cutting-edge quantum control stack, collaborating with electrical and software engineers in a dynamic R&D environment.

The role requires 5+ years of FPGA experience, strong VHDL skills, and familiarity with Xilinx Vivado or Intel Quartus. You will contribute to architecture decisions and develop robust testbenches in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a similar FPGA/R&D role.
• Ability to understand and evaluate requirements and design using VHDL.
• Write self-checking testbenches at module level and expand toplevel UVM testbenches.

Responsibilities

• Understand/evaluate requirements, help design solutions and implement them in VHDL
• Read internal and vendor documentation related to FPGA, third party ASICs or software
• Write self-checking testbenches at the module level and expand toplevel UVM testbenches
• Propose changes to architecture and team processes
• Collaborate with a diverse team of FPGA and embedded software engineers
• Be proactive with ideas and new developments from the ASIC/FPGA field
• Be a sparring partner to a team of FPGA and embedded engineers
• Maintain and improve design quality and documentation
