Job summary

QuantWare in Delft is seeking a mid-level Quantum Hardware Assembly Technician to join the Operations team on a full-time basis. You will assemble quantum chips, perform wirebonding and other connections, and ensure devices are tested and prepared for measurement with strict quality controls.

The role requires hands-on precision, ability to read technical drawings, and a collaborative mindset within a hybrid work setup that supports flexible scheduling and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• MBO-level technical education or equivalent.
• 4+ years hands-on experience assembling mechanical, electrical or mechatronic systems.
• Able to read work instructions with photos and drawings.
• Good manual dexterity for precision assembly and cabling.
• Precise, patient and methodical approach to hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Assemble quantum chips into packaging from drawings and work instructions.
• Make electrical connections; wirebonding and soldering where required.
• Measure and test to capture electrical and mechanical check results.
• Finish package with sealing, inspection and preparation for transport.
• Load chips into cryogenic fridges for measurement and calibration.
• Handle high-value parts with care following ESD rules and 5S.
• Flag deviations to Assembly Tech Lead when issues arise.
• Suggest improvements to instructions, fixtures or tools.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace every day.
