QuantWare is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Quantum Hardware to develop critical hardware components for quantum processors, including packaging, shielding, and sample holders. You will translate requirements into manufacturable designs while collaborating with design and measurement teams across global labs.

The role emphasizes experience in mechanical/hardware design, CAD proficiency, prototyping, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of mechanical or hardware design experience.
• Experience with large temperature gradients and shielding is a plus.
• Proactive design approach with stakeholder collaboration.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks).
• Experience with prototyping (3D printing, CNC) and RF/PCB design is a differentiator.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and iterate sample holders and shielding components for quantum processors.
• Own projects from requirements to manufacturable designs.
• Document designs, drawings and best practices for knowledge transfer.
• Select and manage suppliers and oversee outsourced manufacturing.
