ASML in the Netherlands invites you to join the Global Quality & Excellence team for a structured root cause analysis internship focused on the return process of EUV mirrors, among ASML's most critical components.

As a bachelor’s or master’s thesis internship (min. 5 months, 5 days/week, starting Feb 2027), you will collect data, interview stakeholders, identify root causes, and propose practical improvements, gaining coaching and cross‑functional exposure in a high‑tech environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a related field.
• Experience with problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma, DMAIC, 8D or A3.
• Analytical and able to translate data into insights and recommendations.
• Collaborative and able to communicate with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
• Proactive and capable of owning complex investigations.

Responsibilities

• Define and structure the problem statement using established methodologies.
• Collect, organize, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand current processes and challenges.
• Identify root causes behind recurring issues in the mirror return flow.
• Validate findings and develop practical recommendations for improvements.
• Present conclusions and proposals to stakeholders and management.
