Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Freelance Project Manager to lead major infrastructure and concrete construction projects across the Central and Southern Netherlands. You’ll own projects from award to completion, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and quality within budget.

You will coordinate clients, site teams, subcontractors and internal stakeholders, with a strong focus on leadership, planning, risk, and financial controls as a standalone contractor.

Qualifications

• MBO/HBO qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience as a Project Manager, Senior Site Manager, Construction Manager, or comparable role within civil construction.
• Proven delivery experience on multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in concrete structures and civil works.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets.
• Freelance/ZZP status or ability to operate as an independent contractor.

Responsibilities

Freelance Project Manager | Civil Engineering & Concrete Construction | Central & Southern Netherlands | 12 month Freelance contract

I am supporting a respected Dutch civil contractor that is seeking a hands-on project professional to lead major infrastructure and concrete construction projects across the Central and Southern Netherlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a freelance professional who enjoys taking ownership of projects while helping grow a regional presence.

The Role

As Freelance Project Manager, you'll be responsible for managing projects from award through to completion, ensuring delivery is safe, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will work closely with clients, site teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to successfully execute complex civil engineering projects.
