Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Freelance Project Manager to lead major infrastructure and concrete construction projects across the Central and Southern Netherlands. You’ll own projects from award to completion, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and quality within budget.

You will coordinate clients, site teams, subcontractors and internal stakeholders, with a strong focus on leadership, planning, risk, and financial controls as a standalone contractor.

Qualifications

• MBO/HBO qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience as a Project Manager, Senior Site Manager, Construction Manager, or comparable role within civil construction.
• Proven delivery experience on multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in concrete structures and civil works.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets.
• Freelance/ZZP status or ability to operate as an independent contractor.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil concrete construction projects from start to finish.
• Manage site managers, planners, engineers, and site personnel.
• Control project planning, delivery schedules, budgets, and quality.
• Manage project financials including cost control, forecasting, and invoicing.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Coordinate subcontractors and stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Support the development and growth of regional operations.
