Job description

We are currently looking for a Program Manager to join theteam in Delft.

As Earth observation missions continue to demand higher-resolution sensors and increasingly intelligent payloads, the need for a new generation of on-board processing capabilities is growing rapidly. Processing data directly in space enables faster decision-making, reduces bandwidth requirements, and unlocks entirely new mission concepts. At S&T, we are developing the next generation of on-board processing platforms that combine high-performance electronics, advanced software, and AI to bring these enhanced capabilities into orbit as quickly as possible.

We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead and coordinate the development of our space product portfolio within our Defence & Security business unit in Delft. You will be responsible for aligning multiple hardware, software, and AI integration projects into a single product roadmap, ensuring that together they deliver a scalable, high-performance on-board processing solution for future space missions.

As Program Manager, you will drive the program from concept to deployment, balancing technical ambition with execution. You will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, manage priorities, resources, and timelines, and ensure that innovations move rapidly from development into operational space systems. Working at the intersection of technology, product strategy, and customer needs, you will play a key role in bringing next-generation on-board processing solutions to space, enabling future payloads to process more data, make smarter decisions, and deliver greater mission value.

  • Coordinate the development of S&T's on-board processing product platform, ensuring all projects contribute to the overall product roadmap and strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate the overall program together with the technical leads, balancing scope, priorities, resources, budgets, schedules, and risks across multiple hardware, software, and AI workstreams.
  • Support multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the complete product lifecycle, from concept and architecture through development, integration, validation, and deployment, ensuring effective collaboration and timely decision-making.
  • Work closely with customers, internal stakeholders, and external partners to translate mission and user needs into clear program objectives and technical priorities.
  • Facilitate collaboration between electronics, software, AI, systems engineering, and project teams to deliver integrated, high-performance on-board processing solutions.
  • Monitor program progress, proactively identify and mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
  • Support the transition from technology development to operational deployment, helping bring next-generation on-board processing capabilities into space as quickly as possible.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree preferably in a technical or a business field, or equivalent experience in managing complex technical projects.
  • Experience managing complex technical programs or multidisciplinary product development projects in a high-tech environment.
  • Experience leading product development from concept through qualification and deployment.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in the development of space hardware, payloads, on-board electronics, or other space segment systems.
  • Strong project management experience, stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Affinity with the Defence sector and the ability to obtain Dutch, NATO, or EU security clearances (required)
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); Dutch is an advantage.
What we offer
  • A competitive salary between €4,500 and €7,000 gross per month, based on your experience and background.
  • The opportunity to work on innovative technologies with real operational impact.
  • Challenging projects within the Defence & Security domain.
  • Collaboration with highly skilled engineers and domain experts.
  • A modern and flexible working environment.
  • The opportunity to contribute to solutions that help protect people, infrastructure and society.
  • A yearly fun trip abroad with the entire company!
