S[&]T in Delft is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to space and high‑tech projects, developing software for science applications and collaborating with partners across multiple domains.
You will work in a small team, review code, document interfaces, and improve data processing algorithms using Python and C++, Linux, and modern CI/CD tools. Dutch language is preferred and you must be authorized to work in the Netherlands.

We focus on 4 domains: Space & Science, Defence & Security, Environment & Sustainability and the High-Tech Industry. We control all levels of the data value chain from data source to user applications, and apply our expertise within our innovations, customer projects and talent acquisition services. Our headquarters are in Delft, The Netherlands and we have two satellite offices in Oslo, Norway and Rome, Italy with a total of 125 experts employed at S[&]T.
The High-Tech Consulting team consists of a growing group of people, divided between Delft and Oslo, who work with varying companies on solutions to coding problems. The team has worked on projects such as CO2M and Space Weather with KNMI, SPEXone with SRON and FORUM with HULD, as well as an instrument simulator for an ESA satellite so that all the data processing software can be tested thoroughly before the satellite is launched and also ESA mission EarthCARE. Outside of Space, you may also find projects in other fields such as Quantum technology, in which our colleagues interact with a quantum processor node, that will be used to demonstrate and test the feasibility of a larger quantum network connected across countries. These projects are often partially in Delft and partially on‑site at the partners and allow you to come into contact with the technical aspects of the projects while also focusing on your programming skills to solve complex problems. Furthermore, you can make important connections and learn from professionals in different research areas.
