Job summary

People in Science is seeking a Production Support Engineer for a unique pharmaceutical manufacturing setup in Breda, Netherlands. The role focuses on maintaining a new production process for a cancer treatment, with 3- to 5-shift operations as the site scales up.

We seek a technically strong engineer with experience in maintenance, root cause analysis and GMP settings. You will help design, develop and improve the production process in collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering

Qualifications

• Completed technical Bachelor’s degree.
• Approximately 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in maintenance, engineering or a comparable technical environment.
• Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment.
• Knowledge of Maintenance Engineering and Root Cause Analysis.
• Strong focus on safety.
• Good command of the English language.
• Interest in working within a regulated/GMP production environment.

Responsibilities

• Resolve technical issues and perform first-line troubleshooting.
• Perform and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Carry out inspections and calibrations.
• Analyze technical issues and perform root cause analyses.
• Support equipment and process validation activities.
• Prepare maintenance interventions and planned production shutdowns.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering to solve technical challenges.
• Improve and modify equipment based on breakdowns and operational experience.
• Prepare and improve technical documentation and work instructions.
• Provide technical training to operators.
