Job summary

Vattenfall is recruiting a Product Owner Protocols & Smart Charging for its international E-Mobility organization. You will drive the development of charger communication, smart charging, and energy optimization across markets.

You will define the vision, roadmap, and backlog for applications in this domain, collaborating with developers, architects, stakeholders, and external partners to deliver scalable, customer-centric charging solutions. Amsterdam, Solna, or Berlin are possible bases.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
• Experience within E-Mobility, ideally with energy management systems, smart charging, or communication platforms.
• Strong understanding of digital product development and application lifecycle management.
• Experience working in Agile environments and with Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of energy management concepts and IoT-based communication principles.
• Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes in an international matrix organization.
• Experience developing product strategies and presenting recommendations to senior management or executive stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• The ability to collaborate effectively across teams, disciplines, and countries.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the vision, roadmap, and priorities for applications within the Protocols & Smart Charging domain.
• Manage the product backlog and prioritize features based on business value.
• Drive the implementation of new capabilities, including documentation, training, and change management activities.
• Support development, maintenance, and scaling of energy management and charger communication solutions.
• Communicate product strategy and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
