Job summary

Catawiki is seeking a Platform Engineer to join our Platform Horizontal based in Amsterdam. You’ll shape long‑term platform vision and enable product teams to deliver value with speed, reliability, and security.

You’ll build self‑service developer platforms, orchestrate cloud‑native infrastructure, and improve observability while reducing toil. This role is hybrid, open to worldwide candidates, with visa sponsorship and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Production experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Automation mindset with Terraform or Ansible.
• Observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
• Strong ownership and collaboration across teams.
• Continuous learning in cloud-native tools.

Responsibilities

• Build a self-service developer platform to improve developer experience.
• Orchestrate cloud-native infrastructure and manage Kubernetes clusters.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Improve reliability and scalability through fault tolerance and DR strategies.
• Improve observability and monitor platform health; resolve incidents.
• Collaborate with product teams to champion cloud-native best practices.
