Job summary

Firsty.app in Amsterdam is seeking a Partnership Manager Intern to identify, build, and maintain operator relationships using an 4–6 month internship. You will map operators, reach out to the right people, and hand off mature relationships to the commercial team.

Ideal candidates are studying business, communications, or related fields, with strong English writing, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn in a fast-moving startup environment.

The role

Firsty connects people in more than 160 countries through eSIM technology. To make that possible, we need strong relationships with the right network operators and roaming partners.

As a Partnership Manager Intern, you'll spend four to six months helping us identify, build, and maintain these relationships.

Outreach is where it starts, but the real work begins once someone replies. You'll keep conversations moving, learn how each operator works, understand what matters to them, and help turn an initial introduction into a serious partnership opportunity. Once a relationship is ready for the next step, you'll hand it over to our commercial team.

Success isn't measured by the number of emails you send. It's measured by the number of relationships you help move forward.

What you’ll do

• Map relevant network operators, MVNOs, and roaming partners and keep that overview up to date.
• Identify the right people in partnerships, roaming, wholesale, and business development teams.
• Reach out with clear, personal, and human messages.
• Take ownership of follow-ups and keep relationships warm without being pushy.
• Learn what each operator cares about, what would make an integration valuable to them, and what might be holding them back.
• Keep a clear record of each relationship, including who you've spoken to, where the conversation stands, what the next step is, and when to follow up.
• Brief the team before calls, join conversations where useful, and make sure agreed next steps actually happen.

By the end of your internship, you'll have something unusual for a student: a portfolio of operator relationships that you built and managed yourself, along with hands‑on experience taking cold contacts all the way to real partnership conversations.

Who you are

• You could be a great fit if you're studying something relevant, such as business, communications, international relations, or marketing, although we're not too strict about your field of study.
• You write clearly in English and enjoy working with people. You're organised enough to keep track of conversations and follow-ups, and patient enough to build relationships over several weeks rather than expecting results from a single email.
• Dutch is helpful when working with local operators, and any additional languages are a plus when dealing with international partners.
• Previous telecom experience isn't required. What matters most to us is curiosity, initiative, and the ability to follow through.

The basics

• Available full-time for at least 4 months, ideally 6 months.
• Able to work from our Amsterdam office.
• Available to start as soon as possible.
