Job summary

MIMETAS is a world-leading biotech company focused on organ-on-a-chip technology, based in Leiden. We seek a part-time Technician to support daily lab operations, tissue culture facilities, and inventory management in a fast-growing, international environment.

You will contribute to safe and compliant lab practices, coordinate supplies, and assist researchers across projects, with flexibility to fit 16–24 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biotechnology or Life Sciences, Laboratory Technology or a related field (MLO/HLO).
• Experience in managing laboratory facilities.
• Ability to communicate with colleagues and suppliers.
• Ability to plan multiple tasks, set priorities and manage time constraints.
• GLP and QC experience is an advantage.
• Tissue culture experience is an advantage.
• Motivated, flexible and positive work attitude.
• Proficiency in the English language; Dutch a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tissue culture laboratory equipment.
• Maintain stock levels of the tissue culture laboratories.
• Responsible for clean laboratories and equipment.
• Manage the logistics of the tissue culture laboratories.
• Actively work on safety in the laboratories.
