Job summary
MIMETAS is seeking a part-time Technician to support daily laboratory operations at its Leiden facilities. The role covers tissue culture, inventory control and logistics to keep our high‑tech labs running smoothly.
Your profile includes a degree in Biotechnology or Life Sciences, plus experience with lab facilities. English is essential; Dutch is a plus. Flexible hours and a competitive compensation package await in this international team.
Qualifications
- Degree in Biotechnology or Life Sciences, Laboratory Technology or a related field (MLO/HLO).
- Experience managing laboratory facilities.
- Enjoy communicating with colleagues and suppliers.
- Able to plan multiple tasks, set priorities, and manage time restraints.
- Experience with GLP and QC is an advantage.
- Experience with tissue culture is an advantage.
- Motivated, flexible and positive work attitude.
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Proficiency of the Dutch language is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Managing maintenance of the tissue culture laboratory equipment.
- Maintaining the stock levels of the tissue culture laboratories.
- Responsible for clean laboratories and equipment.
- Managing the logistics of the tissue culture laboratories.
- Actively working on safety in the laboratories.
