Job summary

Mars Veterinary Health Europe, part of the MVH European network including AniCura, is seeking a People Partner in Amsterdam to support our clinics by turning business priorities into people solutions.

As a true HR Business Partner, you'll work with Area Managers and clinic leaders to drive talent management, workforce planning, performance, and engagement while ensuring compliance and a data-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
• 5+ years in an HR Business Partner or People Partner role.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR practices.
• Experience coaching managers and building stakeholder relationships.
• Experience supporting organizational change and transformation.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
• HR qualification (CIPD or SHRM) an advantage.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Partner with Area Managers and clinic leaders to understand business priorities and develop effective people strategies.
• Support talent management, workforce planning, succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Coach and develop managers to strengthen their leadership and people management capabilities.
• Advise on organizational design, change management, and business transformation initiatives.
• Lead and support employee relations cases while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
• Collaborate with specialist People teams to implement HR programmes, policies, and best practices.
• Use workforce data and insights to identify trends, recommend improvements, and support informed decision‑making.
• Champion diversity, inclusion, and a positive employee experience across your region.

Experience Required

• A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years'+ experience in an HR Business Partner or similar People Partner role.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Experience coaching managers and building trusted relationships with stakeholders at different levels.
• Experience supporting organizational change and business transformation.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and problem‑solving skills.
• A data‑driven approach with the ability to interpret HR metrics and translate insights into action.
• A professional HR qualification (such as CIPD or SHRM) is an advantage.
