Job summary

Mars Veterinary Health Europe is seeking a Senior Manager Estates Management to shape the real estate strategy across MVH Europe’s rapidly expanding network of clinics and hospitals.

Based in Amsterdam with hubs in Madrid, Munich and Solihull, you will own a high-impact property portfolio, lead governance and collaborate with landlords, advisers and internal teams to enable growth across multiple countries.

Qualifications

  • Significant senior estates management experience across multiple European countries.
  • Strong property portfolio and asset management expertise.
  • Experience managing complex landlord and tenant matters (rent reviews, leases, regears, surrenders).
  • Experience supporting business acquisitions and growth programmes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Experience managing external property consultants and fee budgets.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior property advice across the business, including acquisitions and due diligence.
  • Develop and deliver the Real Estate Strategy for MVH Europe.
  • Manage a high-impact property portfolio across MVH Europe and its clinics/hospitals.
  • Collaborate with landlords, solicitors, consultants and internal teams.
  • Lead governance, policies and processes for Estates as the in-house team grows.

Job Title - Senior Manager Estates Management

Location - MVHE Hubs: Amsterdam, Netherlands | Madrid, Spain | Munich, Germany (Preferred) |Solihull, UK

The team

You’ll join the Global Real Estate, Facilities & Management (REFM) team and report directly to the Director of Real Estate

You’ll work closely with senior business leaders and colleagues across Real Estate, Construction, Finance, Legal, Operations and other corporate functions, as well as landlords, solicitors, consultants and other external partners. The role offers significant scope to influence how the estate develops as the organisation continues to grow.

What we’re looking for
  • Significant senior estates management experience, ideally with at least 10 years’ experience and strong knowledge of property legislation and practices across multiple European countries.

  • Strong property portfolio and asset management expertise, with the ability to develop strategies that support growth, investment, optimisation, relocation and disposal decisions.

  • Proven experience managing complex landlord and tenant matters, including rent reviews, lease renewals, new leases, regears, variations and surrenders, with a track record of managing risk and achieving value.

  • Experience supporting business acquisitions and growth programmes, including property due diligence, securing appropriate property terms and advising stakeholders on property-related decisions.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and analytical skills, with the confidence to provide clear advice, present complex information and influence decisions at all levels.

  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to remain calm and effective when managing competing priorities and complex situations.

  • Experience managing external property consultants and professional fee budgets, with an interest in developing internal capability and reducing external dependency over time.

  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required by the role.
