MEININGER Hotels in Amsterdam City West is seeking an Overnight Front Office Agent to welcome guests during the night and manage the guest journey from late arrivals to early departures.

Role includes efficient check-ins/outs, answering guest questions, and supporting breakfast and bar tasks. English fluency required; hotel experience preferred. 4-day weeks and a 25% night surcharge are offered in a dynamic, international team.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality, customer-facing experience is required.
• Ability to interact with guests and create positive experiences.
• Proactive, service-oriented mindset with ownership of responsibilities.
• Familiarity with hotel management systems (ASSD, Fidelio, SIHOT) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests during night shifts and ensure a warm, seamless experience.
• Oversee guest journey from late arrivals to early departures.
• Perform check-ins and check-outs efficiently with high guest satisfaction.
• Assist guests with questions and local information about the hotel and city.
• Handle administrative tasks: invoicing, reporting, quality checks, and front office processes.
• Conduct regular hotel inspections to ensure safety and smooth operations.
• Support breakfast, bar, and light F&B tasks when needed.
• Work in an international environment and be flexible for nights, weekends, and holidays.

YOUR TASKS

• You ensure that our guests feel welcome and well taken care of throughout the night.
• You oversee the entire guest journey, from late arrivals to early departures.
• You perform check-ins and check-outs efficiently while maintaining an excellent guest experience.
• You assist guests with questions, recommendations, and information about the hotel, the city, and available services.
• You handle a variety of administrative duties, including invoicing, reporting, quality checks, and other front office processes.
• You carry out regular inspections of the hotel during your shift to ensure safety and smooth operations.
• You support other operational areas when required, including breakfast, bar, and light F&B tasks.
• You enjoy working in an international environment and are flexible to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

YOUR PROFILE

• You have previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a similar guest-facing environment.
• You enjoy interacting with people and creating positive experiences for guests.
• You thrive in a dynamic setting and like taking ownership of different responsibilities.
• You have a proactive and service-oriented mindset and enjoy helping both guests and colleagues.
• You work well within a team and remain calm and solution-oriented in challenging situations.
• You are familiar with hotel management or front office systems such as ASSD, Fidelio, or SIHOT.
• You communicate fluently in English; additional languages are considered a strong advantage.
