Job summary

Scripta Consulting is seeking an Outside Field Technician for the Netherlands. The role is field-based, customer-facing, and located in The Hague.

You will travel to customer locations for hands‑on service, diagnose mechanical/hydraulic issues, and provide remote support when possible. The position requires a Dutch-speaking technician who can work independently, respond quickly to customer needs, and participate in a rotational weekend standby.

Qualifications

• Native-level Dutch is required and fluent English is a must.
• Strong hands-on skills in mechanics and hydraulics, with basic electronics.
• Experience with professional coffee equipment is highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and participate in weekend standby.

Outside Field Technician – Netherlands

I’m currently recruiting an Outside Field Technician for a confidential international company in the Netherlands.

This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently and being close to customers.

And yes — a genuine passion for coffee is a big plus.

About the role

You will combine field service, technical troubleshooting and customer support.

You’ll be the person customers can rely on when something isn’t working: understanding the issue, troubleshooting remotely when possible, providing guidance to the customer or coordinating an on‑site intervention when needed.

The role requires someone who is technically strong, practical and comfortable picking up the phone and responding quickly.

What you’ll be doing

• Carry out hands‑on technical service and troubleshooting at customer locations
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and hydraulic issues
• Work with basic electronics
• Provide technical support to customers by phone and remotely
• Troubleshoot issues remotely and determine when an on‑site intervention is required
• Coordinate with the service/planning team when a technician needs to be dispatched
• Provide short technical training and guidance to customers
• Support internal knowledge sharing and training
• Work independently with limited supervision
• Travel to customer locations as required
• Participate in a rotational weekend standby service, with additional compensation

Your background

Experience in professional coffee equipment, coffee machines or a related technical service environment is highly desirable.

Experience with high‑end, professional coffee machines will be a strong advantage.

We are also open to strong technical profiles coming from other industries, provided you have solid hands‑on experience with mechanics, hydraulics and basic electronics.
