Job summary

Klaas Puul B.V. is seeking independent and experienced technical operators for our Volendam/Edam operations to ensure shrimp production runs safely, productively and efficiently.

You will work with colleagues in the Operations department to set up, adjust and operate packaging machines and related equipment. We offer a competitive monthly salary between €3.100 and €3.500, a fixed-term contract for 12 months, 25 vacation days per year, a strong pension scheme (60% funded by Klaas Puul), travel

Qualifications

• MBO-level technical education (VAPRO preferred).
• Experience in a similar technical role; experience in food industry is a plus.
• Must live in the Netherlands; applications from abroad will not be considered.
• Good spoken and written English; Dutch is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and willingness to learn about food fraud/defense.

Job description

32–40 hours per week, in a fixed shift of your choice: morning/afternoon (06:00 – 14:30) or afternoon/evening (14:30 – 22:30).

What will you do?

As an Operator, you will work together with your colleagues in the Operations department to ensure that shrimp production runs safely, productively, and efficiently. Your tasks include:

• Setting up, converting, adjusting, and operating packaging machines and related equipment;
• Carrying out various quality and process checks;
• Cleaning machines according to hygiene and safety regulations;
• Monitoring product traceability;
• Contributing to the overall safety and hygiene of our products.

What are we looking for?

As an Operator at Klaas Puul, it is important that you can think in a process-oriented and solution-focused way. You have a proactive attitude and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves. In addition, we expect:

• A completed technical MBO-level education (preferably VAPRO);
• Experience in a similar technical role; experience in the food industry is a plus;
• You must live in the Netherlands; applications from abroad will not be considered;
• Good teamwork skills, but also the ability to work independently;
• Good spoken and written English skills; Dutch is a plus;
• Basic knowledge of food safety and familiarity with guidelines on food fraud and food defense, or the willingness to learn more about these topics.
