Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Site Manager to lead on-site activities for projects across the Benelux region, ensuring cost-effective execution in line with contract specs, safety standards, schedules and quality requirements during start-up, construction, commissioning and maintenance phases.

The role involves coordinating local resources, managing subcontractors and ensuring adherence to health, safety and environment rules, with hotel accommodation provided for large distances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years as Field Service Engineer or Site Manager for HV to LV equipment.
• Minimum 2 years maintenance experience.
• Proficient in Dutch and English.
• Valid driving license class B.

Responsibilities

• Plan on-site activities with the Project Manager and allocate local resources.
• Coordinate customer and subcontractor targets, safety, and site policy.
• Handle start/end site notifications and permit processes per Building Law.
• Direct supervision of on-site work per contract docs and schedules.
• Monitor project costs and forecast final site costs.
• Coordinate works and acceptance of subcontractor construction.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and on-site logistics of equipment.
