Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Site Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor to oversee HVDC construction projects across the Netherlands. You will provide technical oversight of mechanical and electrical installations, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with project specifications.

Working closely with Construction Managers, site teams and contractors, you will drive issue resolution, manage ITPs/ITRs, review drawings, and support commissioning and handover activities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in M&E, building services, electrical installation, HVAC, or related construction environments.
• Proven experience in installation, inspection, testing, and QA of mechanical and electrical systems on large-scale projects.
• Familiarity with ITPs, ITRs, and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and support for mechanical and electrical installation activities across multiple HVDC construction sites.
• Monitor installation progress and ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and programme requirements.
• Support contractors and site teams in resolving technical issues and identifying practical solutions.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, environmental compliance, and safe working practices.
• Review and support the implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Inspection Test Records (ITRs), and associated quality documentation.
• Monitor installation quality, identify non-conformances, and support corrective actions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, quality, and commissioning teams to support successful project execution.
• Review red-line drawings and as-built documentation to ensure installation records remain accurate and up to date.
• Support construction readiness, commissioning preparation, and project handover activities.
• Share lessons learned and best practices across project teams to drive continuous improvement.
