Job summary

Airborne International is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with Lean expertise to design and optimize high-volume production lines and mentor cross-functional teams near The Hague. You will drive efficiency, implement lean improvements, and develop tooling for composite materials.

Lead production line development, ensure on-time delivery, and support procurement of new machinery while maintaining strong communication across engineering and production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification with strong continuous improvement knowledge.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, design, or production environment with Lean project implementations.
• Natural leadership with strong communication and mentorship abilities.
• English required; Dutch proficiency preferred; reside within commuting distance of The Hague.

Responsibilities

• Process Optimization: identify waste and inefficiencies and oversee improvements.
• Composite Manufacturing: lead process development and tooling for composites.
• Risk Mitigation: anticipate and mitigate production risks.
• Continuous Improvement: drive ongoing process improvements and standardization.
• Team Leadership: coach and lead production teams across projects.
• Machine Procurement Support: assist in technical specs and procurement of new machinery.
• Innovation in Production Lines: implement and optimize new lines for cutting-edge products.
• First Line Support: act as first point of contact for production issues.
