GKN Fokker Landing Gear in Papendrecht seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for the Assembly team. You will analyze production characteristics and manage L1 non-conformities to ensure efficient, safe delivery of landing gear components.

You will develop production instructions, support tooling deployments, and drive continuous improvement with Lean principles, while collaborating with global teams and maintaining documentation and compliance with ISO/AS standards.

Formación

• Experience in managing (new) Product/Process introduction and existing production improvements.
• 5+ years in Manufacturing Engineering, preferably aerospace manufacturing.
• Degree in Aerospace/Mechanical/Automotive engineering.
• Ability to influence people and build effective working relationships globally.
• Working knowledge of LEAN processes and practices.
• Working knowledge of quality system models ISO9000/AS9100/D1-9000.
• Quality driven with strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of machining (milling, mill-turn, boring, honing) and surface treatment (heat, plating, shot-peen, NDI) is advantageous.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Develop technical solutions with a safety-first mindset and ensure HSE compliance.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing development and integration.
• Resolve vendor schedule/quality issues.
• Apply root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce non-conformances.
• Manage tooling and production planning from concept to production with zero-defect methods.
• Oversee product development, first article, configurations, and build processes.
• Deliver measurable, metrics-driven results aligned with goals.
• Maintain strong internal/external customer relationships and teamwork.
• Continuously improve production processes using Lean initiatives.
