Job summary

Heerema Marine Contractors in Leiden is seeking a Senior Structural Integrity Engineer who will lead analysis of ageing offshore jackets and topsides, using SACS, DNV Sesam/Genie and other tools to assess integrity and removal feasibility.

You will independently drive the scope from definition to delivery, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to method improvements while staying compliant with codes and standards and communicating complex results in English.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in civil, mechanical or aerospace engineering.
5+ years of relevant structural engineering experience.
Strong background in steel structures and structural analysis.
Experience with SACS, DNV Sesam/Genie, STAAD.Pro or SCIA.

Responsibilities

Building, checking and interpreting structural models using SACS, DNV Sesam/Genie or similar software.
Assessing offshore jackets, top sides and related structures for lifting, load-out and transportation.
Defining fit for purpose analysis strategies, assumptions and acceptance criteria per HMC guidance and codes.
Developing robust engineering solutions when information or geometry is uncertain.
Independently managing technical scope, priorities, risks, interfaces and deliverables toward Project Engineers.
Acting as Lead Engineer when required and guiding less experienced engineers.
Contributing to continuous improvement of engineering methods, workflows and tools.
