Job summary

Allseas in Delft is seeking a Structural Engineer in Heavy Lift to contribute from concept design to detailed calculations for topside and jacket installations/removals up to 60,000 tonnes. You will work with naval and structural engineers, coordinating with offshore teams on Pioneering Spirit projects.

The role requires a MSc/BSc in engineering, experience in structural engineering, fluent English, and readiness to travel offshore; FEMAP and GeniE experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
• Maritime and offshore specialization preferred.
• A few years of Structural Engineering experience.
• Proficient with FEMAP and GeniE or willing to learn.
• Fluent in English; Dutch a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define methodologies, priorities and progress, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Perform and validate design studies, calculations and simulations for complex structures.
• Develop procedures for testing installation/removal aids, aligned with project/offshore teams.
• Review subcontractor designs and methods to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Support offshore operations and troubleshoot during execution.
• Prepare input for engineering close-out reports and lessons learned.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of departmental standards and methods.
