Heerema Marine Contractors in Leiden is seeking a Senior Structural Integrity Engineer who will lead analysis of ageing offshore jackets and topsides, using SACS, DNV Sesam/Genie and other tools to assess integrity and removal feasibility.
You will independently drive the scope from definition to delivery, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to method improvements while staying compliant with codes and standards and communicating complex results in English.
When decades of offshore history meet today’s engineering challenge.
As a Senior Structural Integrity Engineer, you work on offshore structures that have already lived a life. Jackets and top sides may have been operating for decades, modified multiple times and documented with varying levels of detail. When these structures need to be lifted, transported or decommissioned, understanding how they will behave during removal operations.
That is where your engineering judgement makes the difference. Using tools such as SACS and DNV Sesam/Genie, you assess structural integrity, challenge assumptions and determine the right analysis approach. You turn complex structural behavior and sometimes incomplete information into clear, practical and technically robust solutions that can be executed offshore.
You independently drive your structural integrity scope from definition through analysis, verification and delivery. Depending on the project, you may also act as Lead Engineer, reviewing work and guiding less experienced engineers while remaining closely involved in the technical analysis yourself.
You enjoy solving complex engineering problems where there is not always one obvious answer. You are comfortable taking ownership, challenging assumptions and making sound engineering decisions, even when information is incomplete.
You combine technical depth with a practical mindset and know how to translate complex structural analyses into clear recommendations. You work well with others, share your knowledge and help less experienced engineers grow.
Are you ready to make the impossible possible?
