Job summary

Petrodec is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its offshore engineering team in the Netherlands. You will provide structural analysis, develop drawings, decks, lifting plans, and technical reports, ensuring compliance with offshore codes and standards.

Office-based with regular offshore visits and site work. You will collaborate with Operations, Projects and Wells teams, mentor junior engineers, and lead technical improvements while prioritizing safety, quality, and environmental best

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
5+ years offshore/oil & gas or project experience, including 3+ years at engineering level.
Strong structural analysis skills and ability to produce detailed drawings, layouts, and lifting plans.
Understanding of ship construction, marine operations, vessel stability, and classification requirements.
Fluent English, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

Deliver structural calculations across concept, engineering, and pre-engineering phases.
Develop and review drawings, deck layouts, lifting plans, calculations, and reports.
Identify structural deficiencies and drive practical solutions.
Support engineering change requests and improve technical standards.
Participate in vessel tests, marine operations, and offshore activities.
Manage external engineering partners and ensure quality deliverables.
Mentor colleagues and grow engineering capability.
Champion safety and environmental best practices.
