Job summary

BDP International is seeking a Team Leader Ocean Export LLP based in Rotterdam to guide a dedicated team and ensure timely processing of orders. You will supervise documentation, update SOPs, and monitor KPIs while maintaining strong customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

You will lead continuous improvements, coach team members, and collaborate with the Manager Operations to optimize daily workflows and cross-train staff for peak periods.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in freight forwarding, with knowledge of logistics procedures and regulations.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership skills to motivate and guide a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Fluent in English and Dutch (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide the team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of orders
• Oversee documentation processes, including SOP updates and invoice handling
• Monitor KPI’s service agreements and operational procedures
• Maintain and update SOPs and work instructions for each customer account
• Identify and resolve operational issues, escalating where needed.
• Coach, mentor and support team members
• Identify and log quality issues, propose process improvements and implement changes
• Participate in cross-training to cover for colleagues during absences or peak workload
• Facilitate regular team meetings in coordination with the Manager Operations
