Job summary

Roompot Vakanties zoekt een ervaren netwerkinfrastructuur specialist om toezicht te houden op ontwerp, implementatie en incidentmanagement van het bedrijfsnetwerk. Je werkt aan multi-locatie connectiviteit en beveiliging, met focus op uptime en performance.

De rol vereist 8–12 jaar ervaring, relevante certificeringen en diepgaande kennis van netwerktechnologieën. Bij Roompot Vakanties krijg je een hybride werkomgeving met ruimte voor training en groei.

Qualifications

• 8–12 jaar ervaring in netwerk engineering of vergelijkbare rollen met multi-locatie ervaring.
• Certificeringen zoals CCNP/CCIE, CISSP of vergelijkbaar.
• Sterke kennis van TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs en VPNs; beveiligingspraktijken en dreigingsbeheer.

Responsibilities

• Ontwerpen en plannen van de netwerkinfrastructuur, incl. Wi‑Fi en connectiviteit voor afdelingen.
• Installeren en configureren van routers, switches, firewalls en access points.
• Aanpakken van netwerklelse problemen om downtime te minimaliseren.
• Afstemming met outsourcing-partners en leveranciers; beheer inkoop netwerkinstrumenten.

Responsible for overseeing network design, implementation, management, and incident management to support seamless operations across systems and locations.

Wat je gaat doen

• Design and plan the network infrastructure to meet the needs of the organization, including Wi-Fi, internal communication systems, and connectivity for the various departments.
• Oversee and manage the installation and configuration of network hardware, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points, ensuring optimal performance and coverage.
• Lead resolution of network connectivity and performance issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions.
• Engage with the security team to implement and maintain robust network security measures.
• Optimize network performance by analysing traffic patterns and making necessary adjustments to improve speed, reliability, and efficiency.
• Plan and lead implementation of network upgrades to accommodate growth, such as adding new locations, increasing bandwidth, and integrating new technologies.
• Manage relationships with outsourcing partners and vendors in the Networks domain, evaluate and select third-party vendors, and oversee the procurement of network equipment and services.

Wie je bent

• 8-12 years of experience in network engineering, network support, or related roles, with a proven track record of managing network infrastructure in a complex multi-location environment.
• Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE, CompTIA Network+, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
• Deep understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software (network management tools, security solutions).
• Knowledge of network security practices, threat management, and vulnerability assessment.
• Experience analysing network performance metrics and making decisions to enhance network reliability.
• Experience managing outsourcing partners, third-party vendors, and network-related projects, including planning, execution, and post-implementation review.
• Industry experience in Hospitality is highly preferred.
