Job summary

Aceve is seeking a skilled payroll specialist to oversee multi-country payroll operations across Europe. You will ensure accurate, compliant payroll processing and act as the main liaison with vendors and HR teams.

The role requires strong attention to detail, independence, and fluency in English, with potential exposure to additional European languages. Collaboration with Finance, HRBP, and external partners is essential.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of payroll experience in a multi-country European context.
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation in two or more Aceve countries.
  • Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and flag risks proactively.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end payroll operations across all Aceve countries.
  • Manage payroll changes, validations and month-end audits.
  • Ensure compliance with local employment law and tax regulations per country.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HiBob relevant to payroll.
  • Act as primary contact for payroll vendors and local payroll partners.
  • Support the annual compensation review cycle from a payroll perspective.
  • Document payroll processes and build backup ownership across the team.
  • Identify and implement improvements to payroll accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support onboarding of new countries or entities from a payroll setup perspective.
