Job summary

Unity Partners in the Netherlands is seeking a MEMS Engineering Manager to lead a growing MEMS team, shaping the technology roadmap and delivering next-generation timing solutions.

You will coach a 1–2 direct reports, scale to 5+, and work across MEMS design, experiments, and characterization with cross-functional collaboration and external partners.

The role blends technical leadership, people development, and hands-on MEMS work in a fast-paced, global R&D setting.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related.
• Strong MEMS design and hands-on lab experience.
• Proven leadership of engineering projects and small teams.
• Experience with MEMS resonator-based timing solutions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing MEMS development team.
• Provide strategic guidance and hands-on technical contributions in MEMS design, experiments, and characterization.
• Evaluate technical proposals and align development with priorities.
• Drive development of new MEMS technologies and enhance device performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across global R&D sites.
• Engage with external partners and foundries (~10% of the role).
• Foster openness, authenticity, and continuous learning.
